Copper Mountain Sells



Copper Mountain Ski Resort is to be sold by Intrawest to Powdr Corp pending approval of the U.S. Forest Service. The sale is supposed to occur within the next few weeks. All current season passes will be honored. Speculation as to the price is rumored to be around the $100 million mark. Powdr Corp is and established ski resort company, based out of Park City, Utah and owns seven resorts including Park City Utah, Killington and Pico Resort Vermont, Mount Bachelor Oregon, Boreal and Soda Springs Resorts California and Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort Nevada.

Comcast upgrades all high speed internet customers

Comcast announced that it released enhanced internet speed to all its customers in Summit County. They released or upgraded the broadband services to wideband. The effective cable internet speeds for existing customers effectivley doubled at no additional charge. Enhances services will be available with two new premium speed tiers for residential and commercial customers with download speeds of up to 50 Mbps.
